A few years back while attending a photography workshop I found myself (with around 20 other photographers) taking photos on Blackpool beach.
It was the around middle of the afternoon at this point. Perhaps not the best time to be out but not bad. The exercise was more to develop our vision and discover what can make a dramatic composition. Fortunately the weather was (mercifully) fine and we spent some time exploring the seafront.
Running across the beach and down to the sea were various channels of water so I experimented with those and the pier at various angles. Unfortunately the water was not deep enough to offer much of a reflection and I was also without tripod this session.
It was a good session in exploring though and this is one of the photos I took and then processed the next day.
I’ve tweaked it a little since then and here it is for your desktop/device background pleasure.
